PLAYER ELIGIBILITY

  • A player may be registered in one (1) team only.
    • Continued trial ruling for 23/24 season: A registered player may participate in a match with another team in an effort to avoid a forfeit for that team. The referee must be notified and the maximum score of the team borrowing a player is limited to one (1) goal. Teams who engage in player borrowing automatically accept this rule and are aware it may result in a loss.
    • With organising committee approval, a player aged 15 years (male) or 14 years (female) may register in both a seniors team AND a juniors team, and will be eligible to play two games each week. Permission must be sought and received first.

  • Players ineligible to play in the FMNC competition are also ineligible to play in the Twilight Competition.
  • Only players entered with GLUFC for the Twilight competition will be allowed to take the field (ie. registration in another zone’s or club’s twilight competition does not constitute a registration with GLUFC twilight football).
  • A team fielding an unregistered player will forfeit that game (6-0 loss), and may also be fined by the Twilight Committee.  Repeat infringements may result in that team removed from the competition.

    PLAYER IDENTIFICATION

    • Each player must wear a strip numbered to correspond with the player’s number on the team sheet.
    • The colours and markings of individual players strips shall be the same for any one nominated team.

    How to enter

There are three important steps before you can take the field:

Due to the lack of qualified referees for this Competition, each team entering the Competition will be required to nominate a player who will, if called upon by the Referee Appointments Officer, serve as a Referee. The Appointments Officer will consider the players experience in allocating games in which the player will be asked to serve as a referee. If you are nominating a SENIORS TEAM, you must pay the team fee of $600 by secure credit/debit card during form submissions or by Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) payment to GLUFC’s Greater Building Society account. Please make sure that you identify your team when making payments. Feel free to email summer6s@glufc.org.au your proof of payment.
If you are nominating a JUNIORS TEAM, there is no team nomination fee (more detail below).
      2. Wait until you receive an email from the registrar letting you know your payment has been received, your team has been accepted and added to the PlayFootball system.
      3. Register players using their own logins, FFA numbers etc. in the appropriate PlayFootball portal.  There is a different competition for Seniors and Juniors and your team manager will be provided with the appropriate link (also visible below).
